The story of the mural
Along the avenue, the wall by Wuna, a French-Canadian artist who started graffiti in the early 2000s, the only artist of the festival to paint lettering. Instead of her own tag she wrote the festival's name, “ArtMada”, in an arrow style with a 3D effect, over a postcard scene: a dancing Caribbean woman among hibiscus, anthurium and frangipani, the sea and the Dame Couchée mountain.
Through the name, the hummingbird (who “does its part” in the legend of the forest fire) and the outstretched hand, she paints collective spirit and solidarity, bringing joy to a busy roadside.
