The story of the mural
Temponok is a self-taught artist from the graffiti scene, based near Paris, painting for about twenty years. His signature is transparency and the iridescent soap bubble.
It began by accident in Japan, where he had to work with transparent spray paint. Little by little he left letters behind for bubbles, symbols of fragility and of time passing; with skulls and flowers they join the old tradition of vanitas paintings.
For the Lyannaj Karayib theme, crossing and overlapping bubbles stand for mixing and connection, and the most universal image of that bond is carnival: reflected in a bubble, a woman in a Martinican carnival costume.

The artist
Tempo Nok
A self-taught artist who came out of graffiti, Tempo Nok (Temponok) has explored the soap bubble and its transparency for some fifteen years. Starting with spray paint, then acrylic, oil and resin, he works on time, the ephemeral and melancholy. He has painted at the Grenoble Street Art Fest and the Chilliwack Mural Festival (Canada), among others.
